Pick-Up and Pig-Out

Last Sunday, my brother and I picked up our parents from the airport. They flew to Iloilo last August 12, because my mom had to attend their Jubilarian alumni homecoming. My mom knew about this since last June, and right after telling me of their intention to come. I offered to pay for their tickets as my gift for their 37th Wedding anniversary last July 7. While both of my siblings took charged of their accommodation; 1 night fee from my bro and the other 2 nights by my sis. It was such a good feeling that we are able to provide such gifts to our parents already. Thanks to the blessings from God as well.

So right after picking them up from the airport around 650PM, we went to Mall of Asia to have our dinner. Because there were no food at home, since I dont know how to cook and my bro is too lazy to do so. My brother suggested that we will have dinner at KKK. Never heard of it, and I have not tried it there. He said that the food was good there and that the price is reasonably priced.

When we arrived there, there was another family who was waiting to be seated. Okay lang, my mind was made up that we will try it there kasi sawa na ako sa Aling Tonyangs. And during that time, I did not want to eat any fried food because during the 3 days that my parents were gone, all that I had were fried. I really want a home-cooked type of food.

We ordered 4 viands, Inihaw na Liempo na Bacon-Cut, Baked Tahong, Rellenong Pusit and their best-seller, Kare-Kareng Baka. For the drinks, good thing they had bottomless iced tea, another good part is, they offer bottomless sago't gulaman.

The food were great, I liked the taste. It was sooo good that it was the first time, that we ordered that much food without bringing home extra.

We still had time to go inside the mall and do a little window shopping. But upon entering the mall, my dad saw the ride that MOA offers to their senior citizens and disabled customers. Of course, me and my brother were too shy to ride that cart; we just left it to both of our parents and just met them at the exit near our parking area.

We seldom go out anymore lately because my brother is too busy with something else. But I still make it a point that when we do, we will have a good time.
